Alliance Scaffold was appointed by C2C to provide a bespoke scaffolding solution for a residential property undergoing extensive window replacement and external decoration works to both the front and rear elevations. The project required a safe, efficient, and carefully planned access system that would allow multiple trades to complete the works while minimising disruption to the surrounding area.

Overcoming Access Challenges
While the front elevation presented a relatively straightforward scaffolding installation, the rear of the property posed a significant logistical challenge.
The only access to the rear was through the building itself. However, the internal layout and condition of the property made it impractical and unsafe to transport large scaffold components through the building. This meant conventional manual handling methods were simply not an option.
Our Solution
After a thorough site assessment and consultation with the main contractor, Alliance Scaffold developed a bespoke lifting strategy.
The only viable solution was to crane all scaffold materials directly into the rear of the property. To facilitate this operation, we coordinated a full road closure and implemented a comprehensive traffic diversion plan, working closely with the relevant authorities to ensure the lift could be carried out safely and efficiently.
Meticulous planning, precise timing, and clear communication between all parties ensured the crane operation was completed successfully, allowing the scaffold to be erected without compromising safety or programme.
The Outcome
Despite the complex access restrictions, Alliance Scaffold delivered a safe and reliable scaffolding solution that enabled C2C to proceed with the window replacement and external decoration works as planned.
