Located in a challenging coastal environment, the project involved working at height above uneven rock formations and within a tidal zone. A specialist scaffold structure was designed and installed to provide full access beneath and around the bridge, ensuring operatives could carry out the replacement of corroded steel battens and the renewal of the timber steps safely.
The complexity of the terrain required careful planning and precise installation, with the scaffold securely tied into the structure while maintaining stability on the rocky ground below.
