Corbiere Lighthouse
Alliance Scaffold was appointed by Ports of Jersey to provide specialist access scaffolding for the scheduled repainting of Corbière Lighthouse, a maintenance programme carried out every seven years.

The project presented significant logistical challenges due to the remote coastal location, with access entirely dictated by tidal conditions. With no possibility of crane access and hundreds of stairs leading to the lighthouse, all scaffold materials and equipment had to be transported manually to site.
A carefully planned scaffold system was installed to provide safe access around the lighthouse while allowing the repainting works to proceed efficiently in a harsh marine environment. The exposed location required constant coordination around weather, tides, and restricted working windows.
Despite the demanding conditions and complex logistics, Alliance Scaffold delivered a safe and dependable solution that enabled essential maintenance works to be completed successfully on one of Jersey’s most iconic landmarks.
